4th Worst Holiday Credit Card: Home Depot
It’s hard to have “More Saving. More Doing.” when you’re paying more than 25% interest every month. The Home Depot credit card does give a teaser rate, with zero interest for the first six months on purchases over $299, plus 10% off everything you buy right when you sign up, according to the retailer’s card website.
Here’s where that “but…” comes in. After that six months is over, you’ll be stuck paying 25.99% interest, according to Rep. Weiner’s report. If you miss a payment, that rate goes up to 30%, and it applies retroactively to the six-month grace period, too.
