5th Worst Holiday Credit Card: Sears
If you apply for the Sears MasterCard, the person at the register might tell you that you receive special coupons only for cardholders, and that you can return items bought with the card without a receipt. Both of which are true, according to Citibank, the card’s issuer.
It’s also true that the Sears MasterCard charges one of the highest credit card interest rates anywhere, according to Rep. Weiner’s report: 25.24%. That’s almost double the national average credit card interest rate of 13.79%, according to the latest findings by LowCards.com.
And unlike other expensive retailer cards, this one offers no teaser deal like zero interest for six months.
